Origin...
A question we seem to get asked all the time is...how did you guys come up with the name Se7enSided? Although we get this question on a regular basis its always been the same simple answer.... a seven sided figure is a unique an uncommon shape, we like to believe this is very true with our music as well. As a seven sided shape does exist (Heptagon), so does our distinct, original, diverse style of modern rock music.
Biography...
Now where this all began was 10 years ago when a couple friends decided that they wanted to take a chance and start a rock band. Of course back in the day it was only a day dream better spent throughout a high school math class. But today that dream, with a lot of hard work & long nights has evolved into a very busy & active life-style. The band consisting of Darren Nakonechny (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Graham Bissell (Lead Guitar/Back-up Vocals), Jon Squires (Bass Guitar) & Aaron Hanley(Drums & Percussion), have worked day in & day out on finding that unique sound that separates them from an increasingly over crowded music scene. Several years of live shows and studio experience have given the band the upper edge in writing new music & keeping live performances fresh and exciting.
The bands new full-length album The Silver Lining (2009) is a perfect debut, showcasing what Se7enSided is all about. Modern rock music with diverse memorable lyrics & powerful gripping music. When writing The Silver Lining the band focused on a several factors that they felt would make each & every song on the album original & different, but yet still have that same Se7enSided resemblance to relate back too. This strategy has helped Se7enSided put out a very powerful, influential & captivating rock record, that has a distinctive sound unlike any other artist today.
Se7enSideds future is looking very bright & promising with a lot of live performances, new releases & appearances. The band plans on exposing their music to as many new people North-American wide as possible. With a lot of buzz around the bands debut album, it should prove to be a very busy year for the band.
